BEING OUTDOORS IS IN

Sacramento is known as The City of Trees. And for good reason. The streets are lined with them, the trails are bound by them, and your picnic in the park is shaded by them. On a sunny day in Sacramento there’s no reason to ever step foot indoors…unless you’re ordering a coffee.

BIKE TRAILS

Sacramento has some of California’s best bike paths. You can get pretty much anywhere here by taking the scenic bike route. The paved American River Trail is one of the finest in the nation; Sacramento Northern Bike Trail is just under 10 miles long; the Granite Bay Trail’s hilly terrain is perfect for mountain bikers and Lake Natoma passes the fish hatchery and aquatic center.

PARKS

The city of Sacramento, with over 200 parks and parkways, totals nearly 3,200 acres of land. That’s a lot of picnic space. Some parks have wonderful hiking trails while others have zoos and wildlife areas, it’s just a matter of mood. From Fairytale Town to Discovery Park, there’s so much to discover in Sacramento.

AMUSEMENT PARKS

If you’re looking to have a great time with the family, the Sacramento area has you covered. Multiple parks offering water slides, mini golf, laser tag, go-carts, arcade games and roller coasters. What more could you ask for? The perfect destination for birthday parties or a fun Saturday out.

LAKES AND RIVERS

When the temperature rises and the sun sizzles, nothing soothes the skin like a refreshing dip into cool blue water. Without having to travel far for relief, Sacramento has many local rivers and lakes which offer beauty that will heighten the pleasure of an aquatic respite. Lake Natoma in Folsom receives worldwide recognition for its excellent sailing, kayaking and rowing conditions.

GOLF COURSES
