Colin Hanks, best known for his starring role in Orange County, was born and raised in Sacramento. He’s bears an uncanny resemblance to the famous actor Tom Hanks, but that’s probably because he’s Tom Hank’s eldest son!

EDDIE MURPHY

Eddie Murphy, or the Nutty Professor as we like to call him, lived in Sacramento’s Granite Bay for several years. His 2.5-acre estate, with 10 bedrooms (including one with a Shrek-theme), 14 bathrooms, and 9-car garage was once on the market for $12 Million!

If you’re wondering why LeVar Burton looks so familiar, think 80’s and 90’s educational children’s series. Take a look, it’s in a book, he’s from the Reading Rainbow! But he’s also from Sacramento, born and raised.

MOLLY RINGWALD

Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, Breakfast Club, this teen icon was born in Roseville, just outside of Sacramento. She started her acting career at age five, appearing in a stage production of Alice Through the Looking Glass. I wonder if she could see the success in her future?

Wax on, wax off…bet you didn’t know this karate guru grew up as a Karate Kid in California. Pat started his career as a comedian, entertaining customers who came to his family’s restaurant in Sacramento. Years later he found his calling and was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe. He was an inspiration to everyone.
